TV Batphone, 1:1 1995 In 1994 I bought a rough batphone allegedly pulled from the real phone in the real batmobile. It wasn't. So I reworked it as best I could, and had Tony Mariano make up some molds and cast it in red urethane. I still coated it with a bright red paint finish, but this way - if it ever chipped, it would be solid red throughout the material. I added a red phone cord (not the easiest thing to find at the time) and a custom numbered plate and felt feet on the bottom to denote it as a collectible. In 1995 I was heading to New Jersey to the megashow to take a meeting with Adam West, his manager Fred, Van Williams and Andrew Godwin. They were going to look over some of our 1:6 models and props to see if there was any way they could sell them at shows. We had a great meeting and I've chronicled that elsewhere on this site. As many, many people have learned before and since then - it is almost impossible to do any dealings with this team. Adam and Van were fantastic, charming, gregarious and generous. Their low-rent, hack "management team" were not. No deals were reached, but I had a great time. I presented Adam with the Batphone pictured here, which he used for many pictures that day and since. Tom Nagy had made a beautiful Hornet Stinger (see below) set and had asked me to give it to Van Williams. Van, Adam, and J.R. Goodman(then owner of the Black Beauty) invited me back to sit with them at the signing table. I was able to get pictures of Adam with my phone, but sadly - none with me.

Batarang, 1:1 - 1995 Lots of people sold these then and now. I had reworked one from a trade remolded it with recesses for the hinges and recast it in black urethane and/or blue urethane. It was then painted either black or metallic blue. I had this one signed by Adam at the NJ show (along with a few others that may be for sale soon) Sorry for the horrible photo. I am currently redoing my TV bat stuff display and will reshoot all these when I finally unbox the stuff. SCW COLLECTION |

Batgirl Utlity Belt, 1:1 - 1995 This was a gift from the talented Tom Nagy. Being such a Batgirl nut - I had found the exact scaled 60's belt that had been used on the show. Then - Tom took it and made the pouches and the buckle and it is flawless. SCW COLLECTION |

Green Hornet Facemask, 1:1 - 1995 I was given a poor casting of Van Williams' face mask that was cast in some horrible resin. I had it resculpted and the inside tweaked for actual wear. I had Tony Mariano mold it and cast it in green urethane, so that it would be a solid color piece. I airbrushed them in green and Tom Nagy supplied the emblems in sign vinyl. There is also green felt lining the ear stems on the inside. RETIRED FROM PRODUCTION

Green Hornet Gas Gun & Dart Set, 1:1 - 1995 I had nothing to do with this prop other than to sell them and I had the honor of giving one to Van Williams for the artist. These were completely handcrafted by Tom Nagy, one of the finest craftsmen I've ever known. They were hand machined out of brass, carved and molded urethane and metal - then they were pro-painted and presented in this beautiful wooden display case with an "etched" hornet logo on the glass top. They were outstanding. AVAILABILITY UNKNOWN

Hornet Stinger, 1:1- 1995 Same thing with the stinger gun. I am not really a hornet fan so I had little to do with all these. They all sold well and seemed to accompany the bat-stuff well though so - give the people what they want. There was a guy in L.A. who was a real go-getter about selling these stingers, but he had made them not so great. I sent one to Tom Nagy and he completely reworked it with telescoping brass rods, and a light up green LED. and jewels in the brass sleeve ring. Phenomenal work. I got to present this one to Van Williams in NJ and he was delighted. AVAILABILITY UNKNOWN |
